People are growingly demanding that organisations address our complex societal challenges.
Despite this, many organisations are still treating social and environmental sustainability as ‘initiatives’ and ‘projects’, hesitant to address the systemic problems because we don’t have the answers.
We can’t use the same systems to solve our inequities and climate crisis that created the problems in the first place.
For five years, Anna has led the Sydney Opera House’s equity and inclusion function, developing and implementing an integrated approach to social and environmental sustainability, and embedding the organisation’s commitment to the UN Global Goals.
A sought-after contributor to thought leadership in Sydney, she regularly speaks at conferences like SXSW, on podcasts like Leaders for Good’s ‘Inclusion at Work’, and more. Anna was the Lloyd Martin Travelling Scholarship’s 2023 recipient.
Anna holds an MBA from the University of Sydney.

The Lloyd Martin Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Arts Leaders
The Lloyd Martin Traveling Scholarship for Emerging Arts Leaders provides $30,000 to recipients to research best practice in areas that are considered increasingly critical to the viability of arts companies and cultural institutions.
In May and June 2024, I toured Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, London and Madrid and met with almost 80 ESG, communications, partnerships, and business management experts at almost 40 organisations across cultural institutions, government and businesses to understand how they operationalise social & environmental sustainability; engage and empower staff, stakeholders and communities to take action; and measure progress and demonstrate impact.
